IT'S IN OUR GENES

Paternity tests analyze the genetic material from, among other things, epithelial cells and blood. Even objects that came in contact with a given person may prove useful for the test. The analyzed DNA is exactly the same in all of the human body's cells. When it comes to certainty of results, it does not matter where we collect the sample from.

What samples can you collect for a paternity test?

For a paternity test you can use any samples that contain the person's genetic material. Choose the samples that are the easiest to collect.

Collecting buccal swabs samples using cotton swabs

All you have to do is to order our DNA collection kit and prepare the samples according to the instruction. Download the PDF instruction. Put the prepared samples back in the paper packet and place them in the stamped addressed envelope.

Collecting buccal swabs samples using cotton tips

Remove cotton from one side of the tip and rub the inside of the cheek for 10 seconds using the other end of the cotton tip. en, repeat using the second cotton tip and the other cheek. Put the prepared samples in a clean, paper envelope.

Stains of blood

Stains of blood

You can also submit blood from other objects to the examination, for example glucose meter test strips, used tampons, sanitary pads and clothes. Wet samples should be allowed to dry and they should be placed in a clean, paper envelope (with air supply).

Blood collected from the basilic vein

Blood collected from the basilic vein

You can take a paternity test using blood collected in the same way as blood collected for a CBC test. Get in contact with us and schedule an appointment at the nearest clinic. Check the addresses of all blood collection facilities in Myanmar.

Fingernail clippings

Fingernail clippings
